Working with the California Dept. of Insurance and the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office, Imageworks updated a Workers’ Comp Fraud video that we originally produced ten years ago! We pride ourselves on making videos that are easy to update. While all the interviews and stand-ups were redone and a new scenario was added, one of the original scenarios still held up ten years later and was included in the new show. You can see excerpts from the video on our Portfolio page.

One of our favorite clients, COPLINK, is doing such a good job refining their database software for generating law enforcement leads, they were recently acquired by IBM! Imageworks just finished four new videos for COPLINK that demonstrate more ways the software can help track down suspects.
Employers’ Fraud Task Force had us produce another video in a series aimed at reducing workers’ comp fraud. This will not only help improve outcomes for injured workers, but decrease costs for employers as well.
Imageworks recently completed over two years of work for the San Diego Regional Center, converting an in-person series of Dual Diagnosis training classes regarding developmental disabilities and mental illnesses into a 30-hour online curriculum that participants can complete from anywhere in the world. Employing a multimedia interface designed specifically for the project, the classes can be taken just for enrichment, or for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Today marked the 5th anniversary of Imageworks’ employee Kevin Tostado’s first day working for Imageworks. Kevin recently completed filming of a webseries he independently produced titled Research, and is hard at work on his next feature film, Eternity: The Movie. Imageworks has completed production on its 16th Legal Update program for the Commission on Peace Officers Standards & Training (POST), which helps to keep California police officers up to date on the latest changes in legislation.
Imageworks also recently finished another telecourse for POST: Legal Aspects of Terrorism Update. Whether they realize it or not, every peace officer is collecting and analyzing intelligence every day. By legally investigating suspicious activity and crimes that support terrorism, officers are building a knowledge base for their community and ultimately thwarting or disrupting terrorist activity.
Today Imageworks celebrates the 25th anniversary of its founding! On this day in 1986, Craig Bentley and Jorge Castellanos signed the partnership papers at Imageworks’ first home office in the San Diego neighborhood of Tierrasanta (otherwise known as Craig’s apartment at the time). Who would have guessed Imageworks would still be going strong (in a real office) all these years later!
