This October, Imageworks will be celebrating its 25th birthday! That’s 25 years of creating high-quality videos and content for our clients. For instance, December marked the 15th year in a row that Imageworks produced Legal Update for the Commission on Peace Officers Standards & Training (POST), helping to keep our state’s police forces informed and safely protecting our streets. Imageworks also recently completed production on another POST project, Elder & Dependent Adult Abuse, which focuses on law enforcement’s role in safeguarding both elderly and dependent adult victims.
Imageworks recently completed production on a telecourse for POST on Identifying Fraudulent & Counterfeit Government Documents. This training program shows that counterfeit and fraudulent government documents support serious criminal areas such as narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, gang business and terrorist activity. The program details the differences between a counterfeit, fraudulent, or altered document; describes the tools that officers may use to identify security features on government documents; and teaches that thorough investigation of all cases is key to preventing fraud.
Did you know that people with disabilities are four times more likely to be sexually abused than people without disabilities? Imageworks just completed an awareness video for SEEDS Educational Services to help exceptional learners relate effectively with others in their community, and build safe and meaningful relationships. For the tenth year running, Imageworks also produced and directed a two-camera shoot recording the annual Venture Challenge competition for the Entrepreneurial Management Center at SDSU.
Another year, another several thousand peace officers in California trained! For the fourteenth year, Imageworks’ Craig Bentley produced the annual legal update program for digital OutPost and POST. Imageworks’ also produced special video segments this month for the Employers’ Fraud Task Force 2010 Fraud-Fighting Awards at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim (shown above).
Principal photography is wrapping up on Under the Boardwalk: The MONOPOLY Story, a documentary about the game of MONOPOLY produced by Imageworks’ Craig Bentley and Kevin Tostado. They are back from Las Vegas after having their superb crew of 14 film the 2009 MONOPOLY World Championship. Forty-one competitors from all over the world descended on Caesars Palace to battle it out – three full rounds of play lasting all day Wednesday, semi-finals for the Top 16 players on Thursday morning, and the World Championship match with the final four early Thursday afternoon.
This world championship match was the shortest one in tournament history, lasting less than 42 minutes. Want to know who won? You can follow updates from the crew as they do final shoots around the world on their website MonopolyDocumentary.com and on Twitter at Twitter.com/MonopolyDoc.
Imageworks has been recognized yet again with a Bronze Telly Award & Aurora Gold Award for its work on “Crowd Management Update” for POST. Additionally, Imageworks received an Aurora Platinum: Best of Show Award for “Anti-Reproductive Rights Crimes (Update).”
Imageworks recently completed a video for Gordon Training International on how the Gordon Model helps leaders to become more effective as part of their Leadership Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.). Using 20 vignettes, narration and graphics, the video depicts the benefits of using Active Listening as well as how to recognize the many communication roadblocks that people unknowingly use in the workplace.
Imageworks also has created its first in-theater advertisements for the County of San Bernardino on behalf of Cook & Schmid of San Diego. This project was a perfect example of how Imageworks can provide a quick turnaround and successfully execute your next idea or project.
Imageworks has completed production on another two projects with digital OutPost for POST: “2009 Legal Update” and “SWAT Operations.” Legal Update provides peace officers a comprehensive overview of new legislation and case law decisions impacting California law enforcement in 2009. SWAT Operations helps patrol officers, command and executive staff, and SWAT team members to better understand the dynamics and logistics of response situations and how best to coordinate interagency tactics.
